2013 Poster Session

The Undergraduate Student Poster Session, organized by Chasen Smith (Georgia Southern University) and Eric Ruggieri (College of the Holy Cross), will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017. Students will have from 2:30 to 3:30pm to set up their posters, judging will begin at 3:30pm, and general viewing will begin at 4:30pm. The session ends at 6pm. The session is reserved for undergraduate and first-year graduate students submitting posters on work done while an undergraduate.  Posters will be judged during the session and award certificates will be mailed to presenters with the highest scores. Go here for evaluation criteria and poster guidelines.

JMM is the largest annual mathematics meeting in the world, and offers a variety of sessions that are designed to appeal to undergraduates. Complete program and registration information is available on the official JMM website.

The MAA Undergraduate Student Poster Session started very modestly at the beginning of 1990 with fewer than fifteen student projects. It now showcases more than 300 projects, and continues to grow each year.

There are over 200 professional mathematicians participating on the judging panel, so this is a great opportunity to get your work noticed by leaders in your field.
